Terri Lee Vintage Doll in Halloween Costume, 16", 1950s

A doll that has survived for 65 years cannot be in perfect condition, and while the Terri Lee character doll from Apple Valley always seemed to look as though she were pouting; those who played with her did not think so. She represented the fashion doll of the fifties with flair and versatility and has been called the “Queen of Dolls”. Made of hard plastic, with painted features, and strung with strong elastic bands she was a survivor and many a daddy from that era was able to put Terri or Jerri back together when the bands wore thin. The Saran wigs were another story.
This Terri Lee is all intact, but with a new Saran wig from the 90s, she needs some TLC. The limbs and head are loose on this doll as the old elastic has stretched. She can stand but has been in a stand for some years now—stand comes with her. She takes good pictures but is wobbly.
The costume is entirely hand made, lost the pointed hat from original and replaced with clown bows. Have any questions? Message me!
