Antique pewter tankard made as a souvenir of the Coronation of George VI and his wife Elizabeth as King and Queen of the British Empire and Commonwealth on 12 May 1937.
To the front of the tankard is an emblem showing the heads of George VI and Queen Elizabeth in red and gold enamel with the wording underneath the image CORONATION 1927. Around the outside of the emblem is engraved the wording 'KING GEORGE VI AND QUEEN ELIZABETH'
The item measures 4" high with a circumference of 8 3/4".
