Vintage signed Crown Trifari gold tone leaf brooch. This textured circular designed pin measures approximately 2" by 2". The clasp on the back is attached at the top third of the brooch, presenting a beautiful position for wearing. It is in excellent vintage condition. The stamped logo contains a crown symbol atop the letter "T" in Trifari, dating this piece between 1937 to 1955.
Along with Coro, Trifari is one of the "big two" in American costume jewelry products (Pamela Wiggins, Warman's Costume Jewelry). The company began using the trademarked name Trifari on its jewelry in 1938. In 1994, Trifari became part of the Monet Group which was acquired by Liz Claiborne in 2000.
